Holiday Rescue is a travel insurance start-up based in New Zealand. In late 2017, experts from New Zealand’s insurance giant Southern Cross broke away to offer a simpler product with an easier and more modern sales process.
See design in Sketch CloudAs the UX & UI lead for the newly merged brand & digital company Dow Goodfolk, I was in charge of guiding the usability and design success of the Holiday Rescue website. I created the strategy outline and an experience map to articulate and guide the goals of the website and thus its success.
After creating and iterating the wireframes, I worked closely with Dow Goodfolk’s brand team to unify the website’s look & feel with the brand identity that our company had created. Once the visual concept had been established, I became the design director for another designer who help extend the visuals throughout the rest of the website that I had planned.
I was also responsible for some key micro-interactions to add some personality to the site, and personally overlooked the development process to ensure the final product was as close as possible to the approved design.
